The Vacaville Unified School District offers many technology resources for its staff, students and families. If you have any questions about these, contact the school's front office or VUSD's Technology Coordinator Jim Wasielewski
Accelerated Reader is a computerized guided reading program designed to build interest in reading. It quizzes students on books they have read, testing their understanding of the book.
All Vacaville schools subscribe to the Enterprise version of Accelerated Reader, giving students access to more than 115,000 quizzes. Use the AR BookFinder link or the AR QuizList link at left to find the level of a book. QuizList also knows which books are in our school library if that is important in choosing your next book. For more information about BookFinder see the parent's guide in pdf, available in English and Spanish.
AR Home Connect
Students and parents can view daily progress in Accelerated Reader through Home Connect and even sign up for email alerts when a child takes an AR test at school. Use the Home Connect link at left to get started. Parents will need the child's user name and password for RenPlace. For more information see the Home Connect Parent Guide, also available in Spanish.
The Pearson SuccessNet web site allows students to see their math textbook online, view and print out workbook pages, watch tutorials for each math lesson and do fun math activities. Use the link at left to connect to Pearson. Contact your child's teacher for the user name and password.
VUSD Web Index and Student Links
The VUSD Web Index lists and commonly used websites in classrooms. The sites are sorted by subject, making it easy for students to see the same sites they use at school.
