Our News

No news posted

We take pride in our Callison Library and are thrilled with how our students are utilizing the library.  Our theme in the library this year is on Superheros.  “Be a Reading Superhero!  Reading gives you super powers!   We are all super readers as we educate ourselves and share our knowledge. Knowledge is our super power.” We encourage all students to utilize their “powers” and become members of the 100 Grand Club (Grades K-3)  and Million Word Club (Grades 4-6).

We also encourage parents to come in and volunteer their time in the library.  Our goal is to have all books labeled with the correct AR level and AR Points.  We welcome book donations or monetary donations to go towards purchasing new books.  These donations benefit everyone.  I have a list of books that children would love to have for our library.  For example  any superhero books or Star Wars books. With the Star Wars movie coming out our students are already asking if we have any of those books.  I love to inspire the students to read by granting requests on what they are interested in.

We also sell pencils and erasers before and after school.  We use that money to purchase books for our library.  So please send your kids in with their quarters to make their purchases, as it benefits the school.

Our Callison family looks forward to another great year.
